Fjords, Water and Norway

Fjords, water and Norway

The weather in Norway was always mild, sunny and beautiful, during the three days I stayed.

The opera house represents a Norwegian perspective of life, progressive, welcoming and open. The architecture allows probably the most human interaction of a building of any kind. It connects water, land and air for human activities.

There is so much blessing with the abundance of water. The fjord kisses every possible piece of land in harmony while the waterfall reminds me of the forever power of nature. It’s a circle of life and it’s one.

The Norwegians are amazing sailors. I watched them with sea, wind and boat in unity. They are the venturers in the happiest symphony.

Norwegians are as comfortable as they are rich. The chairs in the parks are almost recliners everywhere. As a successful western socialist community, people are reminding themselves of their human strength by cold dipping and wonderful sports.

Farming seems to be fading as economics drives food purchases from other countries. Salmon fishing would probably bring the most tasty ceviche and Sashimi to the table. But rumor says Norwegian fish gets packaged in China and then shipped back.

I see myself coming back many more times, sailing, backpacking, meeting farmers and soaking in the magic of the Northern lights.

So long for now the fjords, Norway.
